Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate suppliers and verify quality standards in accordance with organizational requirements
• Perform feasibility analyses and regular supplier audits to ensure regulatory compliance
• Conduct capability assessments to verify supplier qualifications
• Travel to assigned suppliers and lead projects in collaboration with the Purchasing Department
• Manage process controls, review supplier performance, and manage Run@Rate
• Serve as a liaison for suppliers and suggest structural quality and process improvements
• Identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate quality records, certifications, and database screens
• Establish objectives and performance indicators with management

Requirements

• Technical degree
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality, preferably in the automotive industry
• Knowledge of VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, APQP, and 8D
• Advanced knowledge of English and/or German
• Analytical spirit and ability to work autonomously

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as an internal or VDA 6.3 auditor
