Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes of quality issues and execute product quality improvements through preventive or corrective actions
• Ensure site compliance with Samtec QMS to maintain ISO 9001 and other certifications
• Ensure strict compliance with ITAR requirements
• Engage with suppliers on quality issues and generate detailed 8D reports, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Conduct supplier audits according to ISO standards
• Collaborate with manufacturing quality, process engineering, and operations to investigate quality issues and define solutions
• Recommend techniques to improve product and process control methods with external suppliers
• Act as the voice of Samtec for supplier manufacturing regarding change management, defective material, and product qualifications
• Supervise and coordinate incoming inspection activities to ensure materials meet quality standards and production timelines

Requirements

• Proven experience in root cause analysis and 8D reporting
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 compliance and supplier auditing
• Experience working within ITAR regulated environments
• Ability to supervise incoming inspection and coordinate quality activities
• Strong engineering review and process verification skills
