Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead product and process qualification activities (PPQs) at supplier sites
• Manage supplier non-conformance issues and drive corrective actions through root cause investigations
• Audit existing and potential suppliers to ensure quality systems and manufacturing capabilities meet requirements
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure parts are manufacturable and support product development
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain team
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues to ensure business continuity

Requirements

• Technical training or education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO9001) and Supplier Quality Management (SQM)
• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and inspection methodologies
• Proficiency in drawing interpretation, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience working within manufacturing facilities, ideally with complex or critical parts
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record using quality improvement tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, or Ishikawa
• Experience with SAP
