About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure sourced metal components meet quality, timing, and delivery requirements
- Conduct supplier evaluations to assess capability and compliance
- Establish and maintain quality metrics for press parts and structural components
- Monitor supplier performance through audits and inspections
- Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Develop quality documentation including inspection and control plans
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate supplier training
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 4–8 years of automotive supplier quality experience
- Expertise in stamping, welding, and structural manufacturing processes
- Proficiency with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC
- Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA standards
- Proven ability to manage supplier launches and corrective actions
