Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive the organization's Zero Defect Strategy and continual improvement within the supply base for compliance and risk mitigation.
• Lead supplier qualification and audits using a risk-based approach and Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
• Manage part qualification activities using Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and represent Supplier Quality in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) teams.
• Lead supplier corrective action activities by analyzing non-conforming parts, data trends, and audit findings.
• Apply engineering expertise to challenge supplier processes through design reviews, PFMEA, control plans, and statistical process controls (SPC).
• Assist in shaping future Supplier Quality Strategies and developing technical growth within the function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 2 or more years of related experience in quality engineering or supplier management.
• Broad understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies, and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certification (e.g., CQE, CQA, or CMQOE).
