Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all Quality Engineering functions for the program, leading efforts at supplier locations during NPI product development
  • Lead APQP activities including PFMEA reviews, control plan development, and first-article inspection (FAI/FAIR)
  • Manage the full Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Coordinate dimensional, functional, and material validation testing at supplier sites and internal labs
  • Conduct in-depth process audits at supplier facilities
  • Lead the design and development of gauges and inspection fixtures
  • Participate in DFM reviews and DFMEA/PFMEA risk analysis
  • Analyze data to evaluate supplier process capabilities and feedback improvement solutions
  • Qualify products and suppliers for mass production
  • Travel estimated over 60% during peak NPI periods and Mass Production Launch

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Product Quality, Supplier Quality, NPI quality, or Manufacturing Quality Engineering
  • Experience with electrical and electromechanical commodities (cable/wire harness, PCBAs, fans, motors, solenoids)
  • Familiarity with IPC standards
  • Knowledge of quality, reliability, supplier management, and statistical analysis (SPC, Cpk/Ppk)
  • Proficiency with Minitab or equivalent analysis software
  • Hands-on experience across NPI build phases (proto, EVT, DVT, PVT)
  • Professional working level English (B2 or higher)
  • Engineering degree (MS or BS) in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related technical discipline
