Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct supplier audits to ensure quality systems and processes meet Komatsu standards.
• Manage the Corrective Action System to resolve product non-conformance and document results.
• Administer the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new supplier submissions and revised parts.
• Analyze quality data, including warranty claims and defect notices, to prioritize supplier improvement plans.
• Lead cross-functional quality improvement efforts (QC Circles) and investigate nonconforming products.
• Monitor and report on specific Quality Indices on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Develop and issue detailed procedures to facilitate the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience with supplier audits and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.) and personal computer operations.
• Strong knowledge of problem-solving tools including 8D, 5P, Control Plan, FMEA, and APQP.
• Ability to travel up to 25% nationally and internationally (passport required).
• Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ certification as a Quality Engineer or Quality Auditor.
• Experience as an ISO internal auditor (minimum of 3 years preferred).
