About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct supplier audits to ensure quality systems and processes meet Komatsu standards.
- Manage the Corrective Action System to resolve product non-conformance and document results.
- Administer the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new supplier submissions and revised parts.
- Analyze quality data, including warranty claims and defect notices, to prioritize supplier improvement plans.
- Lead cross-functional quality improvement efforts (QC Circles) and investigate nonconforming products.
- Monitor and report on specific Quality Indices on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Develop and issue detailed procedures to facilitate the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience with supplier audits and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.) and personal computer operations.
- Strong knowledge of problem-solving tools including 8D, 5P, Control Plan, FMEA, and APQP.
- Ability to travel up to 25% nationally and internationally (passport required).
- Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ certification as a Quality Engineer or Quality Auditor.
- Experience as an ISO internal auditor (minimum of 3 years preferred).
