Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review and approve project-specific supplier quality documents, including Quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Material Test Reports (MTRs).
• Track, manage, and resolve supplier nonconformities and quality issues.
• Ensure all equipment, piping, and structural fabrications meet client specifications and industry codes.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and third-party inspectors for witness and hold inspection points.
• Support assigned inspectors in performing audits and managing quality documentation.
• Manage and track assigned project budgets and oversee third-party resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a similar technical discipline.
• 5+ years of related Supplier Quality experience.
• Working knowledge of NDE, welding, ASME codes, and coatings for engineered equipment.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings for pressure vessels, piping, and structural components.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing or construction within the power, oil & gas, or water/wastewater industries.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% across North America and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry standards such as NACE, AWS, and ISO.
• Experience with the design and fabrication requirements of equipment used specifically in the power and oil & gas industries.
