About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure suppliers meet contractual, regulatory, and internal quality standards for parts and materials
- Perform supplier audits, source inspections, and first article inspections to ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9000
- Conduct root cause analysis for supplier defects and drive effective corrective actions
- Manage the supplier rating system and monitor performance through scorecards and data analysis
- Qualify and evaluate new suppliers through capability assessments and manufacturing readiness reviews
- Act as the primary technical interface between the company and suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Maintain and implement supplier approval systems and corrective action reports
Requirements
- BS degree in an engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related)
- 5+ years of professional experience in Supplier Quality and the Aerospace industry
- Thorough understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9000 regulations and certification processes
- US citizenship is required for this role
- Ability to work fully onsite at the facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualified auditor for AS9100 and special processes
- Knowledge of NADCAP and special processes such as Heat Treat, Welding, or Chemical Processing
- Ability to travel up to 25% to visit supplier facilities
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual communication tools
- Experience with statistical analysis methods and project management
