Supplier Quality Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Perform supplier management activities to ensure all ZF specified deliverables related to product quality are met
• Ensure compliance with external supplier KPIs relevant to product quality and durability
• Apply APQP and PPAP methodologies according to ZF, AIAG, VDA, and IATF standards to direct and sub-suppliers
• Develop suppliers using core quality tools including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plan Development, MSA, SPC, and Control Charts
• Lead and participate in activities related to customer and internal complaints using 8D methodologies
• Conduct and lead supplier audits related to pre-sourcing, IATF, VDA, AIAG, and ZF-specific requirements
• Interpret and communicate manufacturing and technical specifications effectively to suppliers
• Trigger escalation levels as necessary to protect internal and external customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in the quality field
• Strong knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 standards
• Experience utilizing Process Flow Charts, FMEAs, and Control Plans
• Proficiency with AIAG quality core tools
• Experience using dimensional and material test equipment
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple daily tasks effectively
