Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, monitor, and improve supplier performance through audits and inspections
• Lead cross-functional supplier validation audits and manufacturing capability studies
• Develop and implement quality control processes for incoming materials and components
• Conduct onsite supplier visits for root cause analysis and corrective action verification
• Track and report supplier performance metrics including defect rates and compliance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools like DOE, 8D, and SPC
• Act as a liaison between product engineers, manufacturing, and vendors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (DTEM), or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality Management in industrial manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
• Strong knowledge of welding (AWS and EN)
• Proficiency with MS Office, ERP systems, and data analytics
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher
• ASQ CQE certification
