Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop worldwide supply chain strategies and standardize quality policies for 3rd party sourcing
• Collaborate with supply chain and technical teams to improve supplier performance using data-driven root cause and corrective action processes
• Plan and conduct ISO quality systems audits for new and existing key suppliers
• Support new product development by evaluating, selecting, and qualifying potential suppliers for materials and assemblies
• Manage containment, root cause, corrective action oversight, and Material Review Board (MRB) processes
• Perform data mining and scorecarding to communicate supplier performance
• Execute First Article Certification and Inspection protocols

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in an Engineering field (ME, EE, or IE)
• Strong understanding of GD&T (ANSI/DIN/ASME standards)
• Knowledge of machining methods (tool related, automotive, or aircraft)
• Experience in metal working/manufacturing environments involving alloy steels, ferrous castings, or forgings
• Proficiency with problem-solving tools such as 5-Why, FMEA, and SIPOC
• Strong data mining and analysis skills
• Experience with ISO Supplier Auditing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in an engineering environment
• Direct experience in Supplier Quality
• ISO Auditor certification
• Proficiency with SAP Quality Module
