About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop worldwide supply chain strategies and standardize quality policies for 3rd party sourcing
- Collaborate with supply chain and technical teams to improve supplier performance using data-driven root cause and corrective action processes
- Plan and conduct ISO quality systems audits for new and existing key suppliers
- Support new product development by evaluating, selecting, and qualifying potential suppliers for materials and assemblies
- Manage containment, root cause, corrective action oversight, and Material Review Board (MRB) processes
- Perform data mining and scorecarding to communicate supplier performance
- Execute First Article Certification and Inspection protocols
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in an Engineering field (ME, EE, or IE)
- Strong understanding of GD&T (ANSI/DIN/ASME standards)
- Knowledge of machining methods (tool related, automotive, or aircraft)
- Experience in metal working/manufacturing environments involving alloy steels, ferrous castings, or forgings
- Proficiency with problem-solving tools such as 5-Why, FMEA, and SIPOC
- Strong data mining and analysis skills
- Experience with ISO Supplier Auditing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in an engineering environment
- Direct experience in Supplier Quality
- ISO Auditor certification
- Proficiency with SAP Quality Module
