Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier selection and qualification through capability matching, risk assessment, and onsite audits.
• Implement material and component qualifications including PPAP, FAI, FMEA, and MSA.
• Track pilot run performance to ensure quality requirements are met before transitioning to mass production.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to troubleshoot supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Perform quality audits to ensure suppliers meet ISO and other regulatory standards.
• Drive supplier Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP) using quality tools to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Handle ECO/ECN/SCR implementations and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Use statistical techniques and professional judgment to research data for process improvement and capability studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality engineering or supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of electronic assembly, including color codes and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
• Practical knowledge of PCB operations.
