Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier selection and qualification through capability matching, risk assessment, and onsite audits.
• Implement PPAP (FAI) processes, including material certificates, control plans, FMEA, and MSA.
• Track pilot run quality performance and drive supplier corrective actions to ensure smooth transitions to mass production.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for troubleshooting supplier quality issues and hot issues.
• Perform quality audits to ensure suppliers meet ISO and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement programs (CIP) and use statistical techniques to research data for process improvement.
• Handle ECO/ECN/SCR implementations and follow up on required PPAP/FAI status.
• Collaborate with purchasing and project teams to select, approve, and develop suppliers that meet business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or technical field.
• 4 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Auditing and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Electronics or PCBA repair.
