Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage and monitor key performance indicators including defect rates, corrective action effectiveness, and response timeliness.
• Serve as the primary technical link between suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve non-conformances.
• Execute detailed supplier audits to verify quality management systems, manufacturing capability, and production capacity.
• Direct the First Article Inspection (FAI) process by establishing planning requirements and determining assessment necessity.
• Identify potential manufacturing risks early by evaluating tooling and gauging before production begins.
• Validate that initial production runs meet all engineering drawings, specifications, and functional requirements through rigorous testing.

Requirements

• Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and managing the First Article Inspection (FAI) process.
• Strong ability to use data to guide decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Ability to work professionally and collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
