Supplier Quality Engineer - Electronics and Electromechanics

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of electromechanical and electronics supply network partners, ensuring complete part quality.
• Participate in the early stages of the supply network partner selection process.
• Ensure APQP is performed according to project timing and mitigate associated risks.
• Verify and lead all APQP deliverables and approve PPAP submissions and tooling.
• Secure capacity and ramp-up plans while implementing firewall and pre-launch controls for smooth SOP launch.
• Drive resolution of quality concerns from Volvo plants through quick containment and permanent corrective actions.
• Lead transformation activities regarding sustainability and digitalization within the SNQ organization.
• Evaluate and drive continuous improvement among supply network partners.

Requirements

• University degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in supplier quality, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and manufacturing expertise regarding electronics and electromechanical components.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple simultaneous projects in a high-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently to visit supply network partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in software development or acting as an ASPICE assessor.
• A continuous improvement, problem-solving, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong networking and collaboration skills.
