Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and process audits
• Serve as the lead supplier quality interface for triaging field issues and driving 8D corrective actions
• Apply APQP framework to drive defect prevention and own the PPAP submission process
• Develop and standardize PPAP processes, including FAI, MSA/GR&R, and Ok2Ship readiness
• Drive supplier DPM/PPM performance through incoming and in-process controls
• Act as technical liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers
• Facilitate cross-functional teams for Root Cause Analysis of failures
• Generate and present quality KPIs and company metrics to leadership

Requirements

• 3-5 years of work experience with 1-2 years in Supplier Quality Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Strong background in APQP, PFMEAs, PPAP, and 8D root cause problem solving
• Experience with SPC tools and statistical analysis
• Ability to be in the office 4-5 days per week in Boston
• Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the commercial appliance industry
• Knowledge of NSF and UL standards
• ASQ certifications (CQE or CQA)
