Supplier Quality & Development Engineer (NPI)

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualification for coating, drilling, and assembly processes for gas turbine components.
• Oversee the development, industrialization, and product/process qualification (PPQ) of new production processes.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by tracking milestones, managing budgets, and mitigating risks.
• Act as the primary technical interface between design/engineering and manufacturing/suppliers.
• Utilize statistical data to drive supplier process improvements and reduce non-conformance costs.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new designs and drilling processes to support the technology roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a comparable field.
• Technical experience in drilling processes, including laser and FHEDM.
• Knowledge of thermal spraying processes (LPPS, LVPS, APS, HVOF), welding (laser and WIG), and brazing.
• Proven experience in project management and supplier management.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, specifically regarding turbine hot gas parts.
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 25%.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
