About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage supplier qualification of machining processes for gas turbine components to ensure quality, deadlines, and cost parameters are met
- Oversee the development and industrialization of new production processes, acting as the primary technical contact for suppliers and internal partners
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by tracking milestones, managing budgets, and mitigating risks to ensure timely completion
- Manage product and process qualifications (PPQ) and provide manufacturability feedback to design teams
- Utilize statistical data to improve supplier processes, reduce non-conformance costs, and enhance overall efficiency
- Conduct feasibility studies for new designs and machining technologies to support the technology roadmap
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials science, manufacturing, or a comparable field
- Technical experience in machining processes, including grinding, milling, EDM (sinking and FHEDM), and STEM drilling
- Proven experience in project management and leading complex projects
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly regarding turbine hot gas parts
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25%)
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
