About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage supplier qualification for coating, drilling, and assembly processes for gas turbine components.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, project deadlines, and cost requirements.
- Provide technical support to suppliers and act as the primary interface between design/engineering and manufacturing.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by tracking milestones, managing budgets, and mitigating risks.
- Utilize statistical data to drive supplier process improvements and reduce non-conformance costs.
- Collaborate with global teams to manage product and process qualifications (PPQ) and assess manufacturing risks.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new designs and coating systems to support the technology roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a comparable field.
- Technical experience in thermal spraying processes, including LPPS, LVPS, APS, and HVOF.
- Knowledge of drilling processes (laser and FHEDM), welding (laser and WIG), and brazing.
- Proven experience in project management and leading complex projects.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, specifically regarding turbine hot gas parts.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) and strong intercultural competence.
- Willingness to travel internationally approximately 25%.
