About the role
Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for all quality issues related to suppliers
- Manage supplier audits, qualification, and development processes
- Oversee Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and Supplier Quality Control (SQC)
- Implement project quality management and targets within supplier workshops
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complaints to drive continuous improvement
- Act as the owner of digital tools related to supplier quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
- 8+ years of quality management experience within the heavy industry sector
- Deep technical expertise in welding, machining, NDT, materials, heat treatment, and surface treatment
- Proven experience leading and managing teams of 20+ members
- Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and A3
- Strong English communication skills (listening and speaking)
- Ability to work under pressure with a systemic approach to problem-solving
