About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality monitoring during the product and process development phases for various suppliers.
  • Perform risk assessments at the business award stage and follow up on supplier action plans.
  • Formalize quality requirements, including Quality Specifications and SPQD plans, before business awards.
  • Evaluate supplier maturity and robustness through the study of FMEA (AMDEC), control plans, and competency matrices.
  • Conduct gate reviews (GO/NOGO) and First Article Inspections (FAI) at supplier sites.
  • Manage the handover of technical files to the SQA department and report on activity progress.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs and integrate lessons learned into new developments.
  • Travel frequently to supplier sites (approximately 70% of the time), primarily within Europe.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or Master's degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supplier quality, production management, or industrial engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes (welding, machining, painting, heat treatment, etc.).
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA (AMDEC), 8D, problem-solving methods, and control plans.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory to manage an international supplier panel.
  • High level of autonomy, organization, and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IWE/IWT welding certifications.
  • Knowledge of welding standards such as EN 15085 and ISO 3834.
  • Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods like ultrasonic, radiographic, or magnetic particle testing.
  • Cofrend level certification.
