About the role
About the Company
Neuralink is creating devices that enable a bi-directional interface with the brain to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize human-digital interaction.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end industrialization for a portfolio of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, optical, and materials commodities
- Drive supplier readiness for NPI builds, design changes, and ramp-to-volume including capacity planning and tooling design
- Partner with Design Engineering on DFM/DFA/DFT reviews to drive manufacturability and reliability
- Qualify supplier manufacturing processes through PPAP/APQP, FAI, and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Lead root cause and corrective action (8D, RCCA) for non-conforming material
- Travel to domestic and international supplier sites for audits, process walks, and line qualifications
Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, Biomedical, or Aerospace engineering
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, PCBA assembly, or additive manufacturing
- Ability to read complex engineering drawings and apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Proficiency with metrology tools (CMM, optical comparators) and engineering software (SolidWorks, Minitab, Python/R)
- Working knowledge of supplier-quality toolkits including PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, and SPC
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 13485 or AS9100
- Willingness to travel 25–50% to supplier sites
- Ability to work on-site in South San Francisco, CA or Austin, TX
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated environments (medical device, aerospace, or semiconductor)
- Launch experience with Class II or III medical devices
- Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
- Proficiency in a second language (Mandarin, German, Japanese, or Spanish)
