About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in discussions on DfX (Design for X) with internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate communication of product specification packages between suppliers and internal teams
- Manage development and implementation of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with Peak Part Approval Process (PAP)
- Assist suppliers with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) implementation
- Identify and drive process improvement projects to improve quality, cost, and delivery metrics
- Help identify and assess potential suppliers through qualification assessments and performance reviews
Requirements
- Proficiency in 3D CAD Software (CATIA preferred)
- Ability to read Engineering Drawings and understanding of GD&T
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as Machining, Injection Molding, Sheet Metal Stamping, or PCBA
- Understanding of APQP and PPAP
- Understanding of problem-solving frameworks like 8D, A3, or Pareto Analysis
- Currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, or Mathematics
- Previous internship or work experience in NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, or Sourcing
