Supplier Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop capable and reliable emerging market suppliers across the Asia Pacific region through market research and internal networks.
• Conduct supplier pre-screening via questionnaires and site visits to verify engineering, fabrication, and quality management capabilities.
• Act as a regional market expert by researching and synthesizing long-term market trends to support sourcing strategies.
• Facilitate technical qualification processes by coordinating with technical specialists, providing logistical support, and managing data collection.
• Engage early with internal business partners, including regional projects and maintenance teams, to support commercial strategy development.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure preferred treatment and manage escalations during the post-order phase.
• Monitor key supplier performance and support the operationalization of category strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in project procurement or supplier identification and development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Production).
• Strong knowledge of the supplier base across the Asia Pacific region, specifically within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proven experience with EPC processes and engineered equipment.
• Hands-on experience in supplier development and management processes.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate at multiple organizational levels.
• Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel as required.
