Supplier Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Implement recovery, development, and assessment assignments at supplier sites to enhance supply chain robustness and quality.
• Enhance supplier relationships by supporting the delivery of continuous improvement plans and roadmaps.
• Restore and secure supplier quality and on-time delivery to required levels.
• Improve supply chain efficiency by eliminating waste and implementing advanced actions.
• Perform onsite inspections of supplier products and act as the primary representative for Airbus at supplier facilities.
• Manage stakeholder feedback by providing regular reports on supplier status and escalation points.
• Support the improvement of internal Airbus processes and lead internal training or mentoring initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, or Program Management.
• Demonstrable experience utilizing quality management tools and techniques.
• Ability to travel extensively (70-80%) throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico.
• Proficiency in practical problem-solving and lean methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Operations management certifications such as MRP or APICS/CPIM.
• Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of supplier recovery, crisis management, and capacity assessments.
• Experience with industrial capability and maturity assessments.
