Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers, balancing technical contribution with coaching and prioritization.
- Ramp supplier lines from early prototyping through full-scale production, ensuring readiness in equipment, staffing, and processes.
- Work directly with suppliers to assess, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production requirements and scale.
- Support supplier qualification through auditing manufacturing facilities, production processes, and quality standards.
- Evaluate "should cost" of supplier manufacturing strategies to inform investment value.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in supplier industrialization, supplier quality, or manufacturing engineering.
- 2+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consumer electronics, automotive, or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of injection molding, CNC machining, PCB/PCBA, stamping, and assembly techniques.
- Experience in manufacturing line design and capital costs.
