Supplier Development Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers, balancing technical contribution with coaching and prioritization.
• Ramp supplier lines from early prototyping through full-scale production, ensuring readiness in equipment, staffing, and processes.
• Work directly with suppliers to assess, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production requirements and scale.
• Support supplier qualification through auditing manufacturing facilities, production processes, and quality standards.
• Evaluate "should cost" of supplier manufacturing strategies to inform investment value.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in supplier industrialization, supplier quality, or manufacturing engineering.
• 2+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consumer electronics, automotive, or industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of injection molding, CNC machining, PCB/PCBA, stamping, and assembly techniques.
• Experience in manufacturing line design and capital costs.
