Supplier Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assess supplier quality to ensure products are defect-free and comply with manufacturing specifications and legal standards
• Develop supplier inspection, testing, and evaluation mechanisms
• Monitor supplier defect rates and generate quality reports to guide continuous improvement
• Conduct supplier quality control audits to ensure compliance with organizational and federal policies
• Support suppliers in improving performance through process enhancements and quality assurance plans

Requirements

• Foundry or machining management experience for metallic/non-metallic Drivetrain products
• Moderate understanding of data analytics for identifying process improvements and performance metrics
• Working knowledge of Power BI development to maintain supplier quality management tools
• Extensive knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements and objectives
• Deep understanding of manufacturing standards, procedures, and policies
• Ability to travel up to 40%

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in foundry, machining, or manufacturing environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex operational or process issues
• Proven expertise in continuous process improvement and quality management methods
