Supplier Collaboration Supply Chain Professional

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site supplier assessments to evaluate capacity, manpower utilization, and process throughput.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, tooling health, and material planning risks at Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels.
• Monitor supplier performance using ERP and Control Tower data to track KPIs such as delivery, fill rate, and quality.
• Develop structured project plans and improvement roadmaps for supplier development.
• Lead root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D) for systemic issues impacting part availability.
• Act as a supplier coach to embed operational best practices and lean manufacturing principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing experience, OR a Master's degree and 3 years of experience, OR 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% to various domestic and international supplier sites.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive industry or working with tiered supply chains.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerBI).
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, production control, and logistics operations.
• Ability to influence external organizations and lead change without direct authority.
