About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform standard and complex laboratory procedures for sponsored research projects
- Conduct superworm feeding trials and manage bioinformatics associated with gut microbiomes
- Maintain accurate and timely records of test results and apply quality control procedures
- Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on specialized laboratory equipment
- Manage supply inventory and prepare solutions, reagents, media, or stains
- Collect data, organize files, and participate in meetings with the Principal Investigator
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or high school diploma with some college
- 1-2 years of related laboratory experience
- Technical proficiency and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations
- Ability to work independently, show individual initiative, and work flexible hours as necessary
- Commitment to following and ensuring compliance with all safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically with superworms
- Knowledge of PFAS
- Experience in bioinformatics
