About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise Specialized Engagement Specialists and non-specialized Engagement Specialists
- Assist with daily intake and monitor weekly intake schedules
- Manage staff remote, late-night, and vacation calendars
- Translate complaints and supporting depositions for victims and witnesses
- Complete and file Affidavit of Translation (AOT) forms
- Maintain a small caseload to contact victims and witnesses for supporting depositions
- Explain the criminal justice system and victim rights to clients
- Assist victims with orders of protection and inmate release notifications
- Liaise between victims and Assistant District Attorneys
- Handle high volumes of crisis and information calls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
- Minimum three years of supervisory experience
- High fluency in Spanish and English (oral and written)
- Ability to handle high caseloads and set priorities
- Strong organizational and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the criminal justice system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Experience in community work or community-centered activities
- Ability to demonstrate high levels of confidentiality and sensitivity
