About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the daily production activities of SMA Wire Technicians.
  • Ensure team adherence to standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards in compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations.
  • Provide on-the-floor guidance, coaching, and troubleshooting support to team members.
  • Monitor workflow and production output to ensure alignment with daily and weekly build plans.
  • Onboard and train new employees on automated wire drawing equipment, including setup, repair, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with Production Managers and cross-functional teams to escalate equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns.
  • Support inventory control, including cycle counts, material transactions, and reconciliation.
  • Utilize SAP and Arena to manage work orders, production data, and material movements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (medical device or electronics assembly preferred).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using automated machines and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/QMS systems such as SAP and Arena.
  • Ability to work the weekend day shift (Friday - Sunday, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm).
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and reaching.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Production Management.
  • Previous experience in a highly regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
