Supervisor - Safety

Responsibilities

• Assist the development and implementation of HSE related company policies, procedures, and programs
• Ensure compliance/conformance with OHSAS standards and regulations
• Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with contract requirements
• Oversee implementation of EHS standards and staff adherence to guidelines
• Review blueprints and plans to ensure worker and visitor safety
• Supervise safety and security staff
• Visit construction sites to ensure correct safety policy implementation
• Liaise with external parties and municipality inspectors regarding workplace health and safety
• Monitor local legal regulations and environmental program initiatives
• Investigate accident and injury claims and maintain documentation
• Educate personnel on health and safety policies and arrange training programs
• Assist in developing emergency procedure plans

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in safety management or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Broad knowledge of local government regulations and environmental laws
• Excellent knowledge of safety standards and quality management concepts
• Excellent English skills (written and verbal)
• People management skills
