Supervisor, Preparation Minerals

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation operations and lead daily activities of Preparation Technicians
• Supervise daily job performance, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management
• Train new technicians on ASTM and other current standards
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for all preparation equipment
• Enforce all safety rules and regulations for employees, contractors, and visitors
• Perform Senior Laboratory Technician duties, including mineral sample preparation and report maintenance
• Ensure all calibrations and equipment maintenance are performed according to SGS procedures

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in industrial, laboratory, or field operations
• 1+ years of supervisory experience
• Proficiency in common lab techniques (dilutions, reagent preparation, data interpretation)
• Basic mathematical and advanced reasoning skills
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Advanced English proficiency
• TWIC certification
• 24-hour surface Miner MSHA certificate
