Supervisor, Packaging

Responsibilities

• Supervise packaging activities for approximately 40 employees, ensuring adherence to production schedules and cycle time standards.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members to support professional growth and operational efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and safety procedures to maintain high product quality and a safe work environment.
• Manage personnel functions including attendance, performance management, hiring, and payroll/E-time.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and participate in cross-functional projects.
• Investigate equipment or product failures, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Complete all GMP documentation, non-conformance investigations, and change controls accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with line mechanics to ensure optimal equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Degree or college diploma in science or engineering technology.
• 5-7 years of supervisory experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar regulated environment.
• Strong background in pharmaceutical cGMP and experience working in a packaging environment.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage large teams.
• Knowledge of 5-Safety practices and WHMIS.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability to work 8-hour rotating shifts, including mandatory monthly Saturdays and overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electronic systems such as SAP or MES.
• Strong technical report writing and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating employee engagement and safety enhancement programs.
