About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise aircraft maintenance operations to ensure compliance with Repair Station/Quality Manuals, Site Operating Procedures, and FARs
- Promote a safe work environment by overseeing safety/security programs, including 5S, lean manufacturing, and regular safety audits
- Perform supervisory duties including scheduling, time card approvals, performance reviews (PMP), and personnel decisions
- Coordinate unscheduled aircraft maintenance and work performed at off-site locations
- Manage resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime (DOI)
- Identify and communicate best practices to champion continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate technical shop floor issues such as engineering support and specialized tooling requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft heavy or line maintenance
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or lead experience (Aircraft Maintenance preferred)
- Valid A&P Certificate or appropriate certification under FAR part 65
- Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, including parts 91, 121, 135, and 145
- Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs for jet aircraft
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications for managing maintenance work and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-year College Degree
- Previous experience in Project Management
- Working knowledge of SAP, Pivotal, and Autotime maintenance transactions
- Working knowledge of ISO/OHSAS management systems
