About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for district student health services and wellness coordination.
  • Manage Medicaid reimbursement programs, including SBAP, RMTS, and the PA Random Annual Cost Report.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate nursing staff, including Certified School Nurses, Health Room Nurses, and Dental Hygienists.
  • Develop and revise district health policies, procedures, and immunization compliance protocols.
  • Oversee annual budgets, medical supply inventories, and financial cost settlement reports.
  • Coordinate 504 plans and support Special Education administrators regarding student health and psychosocial needs.
  • Manage health metrics, communicable disease surveillance, and annual SHARRS reporting.
  • Serve as the district liaison for medical providers to ensure accurate prescription approvals.

Requirements

  • Master's degree.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Educational Specialist Certified School Nurse credential.
  • Supervisory Certification in Health Services or Pupil Services.
  • 3+ years of experience in school nursing.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in school nursing and leadership.
  • Experience preparing Medicaid Cost Reports and financial projections.
  • Certified CPR instructor.
