Supervisor, General Plant Production

Responsibilities

• Supervise plant production functions to ensure safety, quality standards, and efficient personnel management.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by correcting unsafe conditions and conducting safety inspections.
• Support the development and implementation of food safety and process quality systems.
• Manage subordinate performance, including individual development, on-the-job training, and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate production, spoilage, maintenance, and attendance records.
• Oversee housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and department preventative maintenance (PM) programs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and hazardous waste management requirements.
• Facilitate effective communication between crew operations and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Broad training in a related field, typically acquired through college or work-related experience in can or end making processes.
• Proficiency in using computers to access, input, and retrieve information.
• Strong basic mathematical skills for production and quality calculations.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights) and handle regular overtime or on-call duties.
