Supervisor - General Ledger

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist in day-to-day general ledger accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and monthly accrual trackers for month-end closing.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and reconciliations, maintaining complete supporting documentation for audit readiness.
• Manage fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, and periodic physical verification.
• Post journal entries and ensure all accounting entries are properly documented and supported.
• Resolve audit queries related to general accounts, reporting, and fixed assets in a timely manner.
• Support the General Ledger team to ensure high performance and efficient timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
• Foster a professional work environment and promote effective cross-cultural communication within the team.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting or Commerce.
• Professional Finance accreditation (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, with a strong preference for Oracle financials.
• Hands-on experience managing fixed assets, cash flow, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience within the hospitality industry, specifically in 5-star luxury hotels.
