Supervisor - Gas Maintenance & Ops

Responsibilities

• Supervise in-house crews and contractors in the construction, operation, and maintenance of the natural gas distribution system
• Schedule work for distribution street crews, assessing project scope and assigning appropriate skills and equipment
• Ensure all activities comply with construction standards, safety rules, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate safety training, documentation, inspections, and accident investigations
• Participate in the supervisory on-call rotation to lead emergency responses during outages or gas emergencies
• Maintain accurate gas records, business reports, and documentation in company databases
• Communicate effectively with customers, community officials, and regulatory agencies regarding utility operations
• Conduct employee evaluations and manage disciplinary actions in collaboration with Labor Relations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate Degree with 8+ years, OR High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years and relevant progression
• Proven knowledge of gas distribution construction and maintenance
• Knowledge of federal and state industry regulations
• Valid Driver's License
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP
• Ability to work after hours for storms, emergencies, and critical assignments
