Supervisor - Gas Construction

Responsibilities

• Supervise company employees and inspect subcontractor crews in the construction, operation, and maintenance of gas distribution systems.
• Plan, schedule, and direct new construction, replacement work, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure all activities comply with construction standards, safety rules, and approved policies.
• Provide safety training to construction crews and ensure system integrity and public safety.
• Interact with internal and external customers to resolve concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare damage reports, accident reports, and other necessary documentation to account for completed work.
• Review and sign as-built drawings, leak repair reports, and time sheets to ensure accurate company records.
• Participate in an on-call rotational assignment to respond to storms, emergencies, and critical assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of underground construction and maintenance experience, OR
• Associate's degree with 7+ years of underground construction and maintenance experience, OR
• High School diploma with 10+ years of construction and maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read construction maps and drawings.
• Availability for on-call rotational assignments and after-hours emergency response.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience managing both union and non-union workforces.
• Knowledge of underground gas construction, natural gas properties, and gas leak detection methods.
• Familiarity with CBYD regulations, State and Federal pipeline safety regulations, Hazmat, and OSHA.
