About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily forestry nursery operations, including staff supervision and work assignments
- Oversee greenhouse climate control systems, including boilers and ventilation
- Maintain nursery facilities, infrastructure, and heavy equipment
- Manage procurement of nursery supplies, parts, and operational materials
- Supervise maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs
- Ensure safe site access and perform winter operations including snow removal
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma plus related vocational training
- 3+ years of experience in a farm or forestry environment
- Proven supervisory experience
- Demonstrated mechanical abilities and proficiency in mathematics
- Strong record-keeping skills
