Supervisor - Dispatch & ECC

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and expertise to employees engaged in the operation of the electric system
• Develop and oversee general operating practices to promote safe and reliable operation of electric and gas systems
• Direct, plan, schedule, and review the work of subordinates, including shift scheduling and interviewing
• Maintain qualification to fill in for operators as required during emergencies
• Provide direction and assistance to operations staff during electric system emergencies
• Prepare reports on system disturbances for management and regulatory agencies
• Determine operational practices, procedures, and methods to resolve technical problems
• Confer with management regarding major system changes, maintenance projects, or material changes to electric systems

Requirements

• Associate's Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of the characteristics and operation of both gas and electric systems
• NERC Certification as appropriate
• Strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to make critical operational decisions under pressure
• Demonstrated administrative and decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of customer service procedures
