Supervisor, Cross Border

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily cross-border freight forwarding operations, including end-to-end road freight planning and scheduling.
• Execute cross-border road freight shipments for both FTL and LTL to optimize routes, schedules, and cargo loads.
• Liaise with transporters, drivers, and warehouse teams to coordinate pickup and delivery arrangements.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including permits, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
• Apply for local and overseas customs permits for cross-border trucking.
• Ensure strict compliance with Singapore and regional customs regulations.
• Monitor shipment status proactively to resolve delays, clearance issues, or operational disruptions.
• Communicate shipment updates, delivery schedules, and exceptions to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and documentation while supporting billing and cost verification.
• Manage supplier relationships and track KPIs such as transit time, delivery performance, and cost control.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in freight forwarding or cross-border trucking operations.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore–Malaysia cross-border procedures and customs regulations.
• Proficiency with TradeNet and/or customs declaration systems.
• Tertiary qualifications.
• Knowledge of HS codes and tariff classifications.
• Familiarity with GPS tracking systems or Transport Management Systems (TMS).
• Understanding of freight costing and pricing.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
