Supervisor Coding

Responsibilities

• Manage overall personnel, performance, and discipline for assigned coding projects
• Lead client interactions and serve as the primary point of contact for communication
• Monitor key performance indicators including productivity, quality, turnaround time, attendance, and attrition
• Provide expertise and leadership in medical coding and billing regulatory requirements
• Review and analyze periodic reports and metrics to evaluate operational practices
• Support quality initiatives and internal audits to ensure compliance with all parameters
• Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and direction to staff
• Assist senior management in planning and implementing modifications to existing operations and systems
• Develop annual business plans and manage operating budgets

Requirements

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Allied Medicine (BHMS, BAMS, BPT, Dental, Pharmacy, or Nursing)
• Certified coder (AAPC or AHIMA - CCS, CPC, CPC-H, or CCS-P)
• 10+ years of medical coding experience
• 3+ years of experience in a Team Lead or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
• Proficiency in healthcare reimbursement methodologies
• Proven ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and drive customer satisfaction
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
