Supervisor, Clinical Lab

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to professional and skilled support individual contributors
• Ensure production work is completed according to department goals
• Monitor team members for adherence to SOPs and safety procedures
• Oversee training and development of all staff members
• Document nonconformances and corrective actions for test system deviations
• Plan and lead shift meetings and discuss goals with team members
• Act as the primary point of contact when the manager is not present
• Identify trends and execute solutions for operational issues
• Interact with interdepartmental teams including OPS, Engineering, and R&D

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, laboratory science, or biological sciences with 4.5+ years of industry experience (including 2 years in a clinical lab)
• OR Master's degree in medical technology, laboratory science, or biological sciences with 2+ years of industry experience (including 2 years in a clinical lab)
• Current ASCP certification in molecular biology (CLS, MLS, MB, MT)
• Current CA State CGMBS or CLS license
• Proven leadership experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
