About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise 4-5 staff members investigating potential violations of NYC worker protection laws
  • Train and supervise investigators in handling high volume caseloads, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing records
  • Review, edit, and approve written investigation reports and charging decisions
  • Monitor investigator case progress using database reports and manage workflow
  • Provide input on standard investigative processes and enforcement policy
  • Testify at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings regarding investigation findings
  • Conduct interviews for investigator positions and provide input on hiring decisions
  • Write annual evaluations and support professional development for staff

Requirements

  • High school diploma and five years of experience in consumer or worker protection investigations, including one year of supervisory experience
  • OR a baccalaureate degree and one year of experience in consumer or worker protection investigations in a supervisory capacity
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid New York State Motor Vehicle Driver License
