About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise 3-4 Supervising Investigators, attorneys, or other enforcement staff
  • Oversee Investigations Team workflows and case assignments
  • Identify and implement improvements to investigations and case-handling processes
  • Lead complex investigations and mediations
  • Manage systems for monitoring compliance with Consent Orders
  • Lead implementation of enforcement for new laws under OLPS jurisdiction
  • Provide legal opinions on novel legal questions
  • Handle recruitment, training, and annual evaluations of staff

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • Four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant legal experience
  • Eighteen months of experience in supervision of other attorneys or in a managerial/executive capacity
  • Must remain a Member of the New York State Bar in good standing
