About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage shift operations including delegation of tasks, workload balancing, and strategic deployment of staff
- Serve as first point of escalation for Court Representatives to resolve conflicts and address questions
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to Court Representatives during assigned shifts
- Provide on-the-record responses to the court for challenging cases and high-risk participants
- Review and ensure data quality of screening forms, emails, court documents, and database entries
- Identify and address errors, discrepancies, and documentation gaps
- Foster teamwork and maintain staff morale during high-volume periods
- Maintain professional relationships with defense attorneys, prosecutors, judges, and court officers
- Conduct real-time performance monitoring, coaching, and feedback for staff
- Assist in onboarding, mentoring, and training Court Representatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant court or advocacy experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours (5PM-1AM, Sunday-Thursday)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in paperwork completion
- Ability to work in-person 5 days a week in Queens, NY
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Court Representative
- Demonstrated leadership experience in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Comprehensive knowledge of Supervised Release policies and NYS bail reform statutes
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
