Supervising Civil Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with a caseload of 30 to 70 matters
• Provide day-to-day oversight of paralegal and legal support work
• Build and maintain repeatable litigation workflows and SOPs
• Implement quality control checks for filings and discovery packages
• Train and coach team members on systems and best practices
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Manage physical and digital case files
• Assist with deposition and trial preparations
• Calendar hearings, depositions, and deadlines
• Maintain clear and timely communication with clients

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation
• Experience in NJ and NY jurisdictions is advantageous
• Insurance defense experience is highly valued
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PracticePanther or similar case management software
• Proven leadership experience in mentoring, training, or leading workflows
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
